This Wednesday, April the 23th, 2014, at 18 P.M will be held the opening of the exhibition by Renzo Piano Ronchamp: “From the sketch to the site.”
The exhibition will be open from April 20 to November 2, 2014, every day from 9h to 19h, from April 1 to October 31 and from 10h to 17h, from 1 November to 31 March.

An Exhibit in Concrete

The Cité de Chaillot is honoring the work of RUDY RICCIOTTI, well-known for the use of concrete in his conceptions. In 2006, Mr. Ricciotti was awarded the National Grand Prix in architecture. In 2006 he designed the Villa Navarra near St Tropez and since then has undertaken large projets such as the Department of Islamic Art at the Louvre (2012) the MUSCEM in Marseille 2013) and most recently the Jean Bouin Stadium (2013).

Eileen Gray at Pompidou Center, Paris

The Pompidou Center is honoring an outstanding leader in Art Deco design. A pluridisciplinarian artist, Eileen Gray’s work extends from art deco objects to lacquer work and on to the use of bricks, metal and wood. Her Dragon armchair, from the Yves Saint Laurent/ Pierre Bergé collection, was sold in Paris for 21.9 million euros, making it the second-most expensive piece of furniture in history.
